Tabletop Nonograms Privacy Policy
Tabletop Nonograms, published by Dank Investments LLC Effective October 18, 2026
This policy covers the game. This website has a separate Website Privacy Policy.
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, contacts or location.
- Your progress and settings are stored on your device. When iCloud sync is available and enabled, a copy of your progress is kept in your own iCloud account so your other devices can pick it up. We cannot see it. Settings stay local.
- The free version shows a small number of ads from Google. Google and Apple process information for the services described below, subject to your choices and applicable requirements.
What stays on your device
The app saves these things on your iPhone or iPad:
- puzzles in progress and puzzles you have finished
- your settings
- whether you have bought Remove Ads
We have no server that receives any of it, so we cannot see it, and we cannot restore it for you. Deleting the app deletes it from the device.
If you have device backups turned on, your device may include the app's saved data in that backup. That is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Deleting the app does not necessarily remove an iCloud copy or a device backup.
iCloud sync
iCloud sync is optional, enabled by default when supported, and can be turned off in the app's Settings. When it is on, the app keeps a copy of your progress in iCloud key-value storage, in your own iCloud account, so your other iPhones and iPads signed in to the same account can carry on where you left off. Settings remain on each device.
That copy is stored by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. It is not sent to us, and we cannot read it. So that the app can tell when a different iCloud account signs in, it keeps a scrambled code made from Apple's anonymous account token. That code cannot be turned back into your Apple ID, name or email, and it stays on your device. The copy may also hold a random code for each of your devices, made up by the app, so it can tell which device made which change.
Erase all progress in Settings removes local progress and, when sync is enabled and available, propagates the reset to your iCloud copy and other synced devices. Turning sync off stops further app syncing on that device; it does not itself delete an existing iCloud copy.
Ads in the free version
The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Ads appear in two places only: a banner on the menu screens, and an occasional full-screen ad between puzzles (four a day at most). There are never ads on a puzzle while you play.
To show and measure ads, Google's software in the app may collect:
- a device advertising identifier where permitted, or app- or developer-scoped identifiers
- your IP address, which also gives an approximate location such as city or region
- which ads were shown and whether you tapped them
- device information, crash logs, diagnostics and performance information such as launch times, hangs and energy use
- product interactions such as app launches, taps and video views, and consent/privacy choices
Google uses this information for advertising delivery, measurement, advertising performance, analytics and SDK diagnostics, and to apply privacy choices. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Mobile Ads SDK disclosure.
Your choices
Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission may be requested through Google's consent flow when applicable. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is unavailable without Apple's tracking authorization. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", or tracking is restricted, ads may still be served without IDFA, subject to your other consent choices and availability. This does not necessarily prevent all advertising-related data collection or use of app- or developer-scoped identifiers. Gameplay does not require tracking permission. Review system permissions in the device's Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
Where applicable, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and covered US regions, Google's consent/privacy messages let you make applicable choices before advertising proceeds. You can revisit available options from the app's Settings screen, under Privacy choices.
Ad content is limited to material rated suitable for general audiences.
Removing ads
You can remove all ads with a single one-time, non-consumable purchase. There is no subscription. Once a valid purchase is confirmed, the app stops both ad formats and further ad requests. A refund or revocation can change ownership and advertising eligibility. Removing ads does not automatically delete information previously held by Google or its partners.
The purchase is handled by Apple's App Store. We never receive your card or billing details through the game. The app receives verified transaction and ownership information to apply your purchase and support restoration on your devices.
What we do not do
- We do not run analytics or usage tracking of our own.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not build profiles of players.
- We do not add our own third-party crash reporting service. Google's advertising SDK may process diagnostics as described above. If you choose to share app diagnostics through Apple's platform, Apple handles that sharing under its policies.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use the correspondence to respond and keep related messages as needed to handle your request. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Children
The app is suitable for a general audience and is not aimed specifically at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to see, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to how it is used. We cannot directly retrieve or delete puzzle progress held only on your device or in your Apple iCloud account. For information you have sent us, including support correspondence, contact us below. Apple provides separate controls for iCloud and device backups.
For data collected by Google through ads, use the choices described above and Google's own privacy controls.
Some privacy laws describe certain advertising disclosures as "sharing". Use the applicable Google privacy choices as well as Apple's tracking controls described above; declining ATT alone does not necessarily exercise every regional advertising privacy option.
You are always welcome to contact us with a privacy question or request.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
