The Deck

Privacy Policy

The Deck is a local, pass-the-phone party game provided by Dank Investments LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes the current app, including beta versions, and information you choose to send us for support. You do not need an account to play.

Information stored on your device

The Deck saves information on your device to run games, remember your preferences, and resume your progress. This can include:

The current app does not upload this gameplay information to us or provide developer-operated cloud storage or online sharing. A card report saved within the app stays local; it is not automatically sent to support. You can use nicknames instead of real names.

Tracking, advertising, and permissions

The app does not include an advertising network, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

The Deck does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or precise location. Sound effects, music, haptics, and timers use device playback and interaction features; the app does not record conversations.

Purchases

The current version does not process in-app payments or display network-served advertisements. Deck availability and access state may be saved locally, but the app does not collect payment-card details. If purchases or advertising are introduced, we will update this policy and the applicable store disclosures before releasing those features.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, such as your name, screenshots, or attachments. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy requests. Please avoid sending private game notes or sensitive information unless they are necessary to explain your request.

Our email and email-routing providers process messages to deliver and store our correspondence. We may disclose support information where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not use support messages for targeted advertising.

Apple services and beta testing

Apple operates the App Store and TestFlight separately from The Deck. If you test through TestFlight, Apple collects beta-installation, device, usage, and crash information and makes reports available to the developer. Feedback you submit may include comments and screenshots. Depending on how you were invited, your name and email address may also be visible to us.

We use beta reports and feedback to diagnose problems and improve The Deck, not for advertising. Apple's handling and retention of this information are described in TestFlight & Privacy and Apple's Privacy Policy. These platform reports are separate from the local gameplay storage described above.

Retention, deletion, and device privacy

Game information remains in the app's local storage until you remove it using available in-app controls or delete the app and its data through your device settings. Offloading an app is not the same as deleting its data. Device backups may retain or restore app information according to your operating system and backup settings; we do not operate those backups.

Private-role screens and notes are gameplay features, not password-protected accounts. Someone with access to the device may be able to view them. Keep your device secure and avoid entering sensitive personal information.

We retain support correspondence and any beta reports we keep only as long as needed to respond, investigate and resolve issues, or meet legal obligations. Apple controls retention within its own services. You can contact us about access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete game data that is stored only on your device.

Children's privacy

The app does not request ages or dates of birth and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through gameplay. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a support message or beta feedback, contact us so we can review and address it.

This website and policy updates

Visiting this policy page is separate from playing The Deck. Our hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to serve and secure the website. See the Dank Investments website privacy notice for website-specific information.

We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Features such as online accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, or payment processing will be reflected in this policy before they are released.
